In a program for children, Missy Hermes, Education Coordinator of the Otter Tail County Historical Society used photographs, documents and artifacts to tell the story of the early pioneers of Otter Tail County.

Verbal interviews were held with attendees.  One eight year old recited exactly how the Homestead Act was brought into law.
