Project Overview

Pirate Storytelling gave the Zumbrota Public Library (Zumbrota, MN) a pirate-theme storytelling program for families and children age 2-10. The event supplemented their existing summer reading program. The program discussed the language of pirates, history, geography, folklore, and storytelling techniques.

The program had 70 children attended; caregivers were not counted.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Observation showed that children were able to differentiate between myth and truth as the program progressed.  The participation and inquiries of the children reflected their interest and enjoyment of the program and the facts expressed within.
