Art & Culture Live!: Community Collaborations - “Mike the Baker” by Mike Mann
"Mike the Baker” by Mike Mann – Celebration for the Week of the Young Child & Child Abuse Prevention Month was organized by the Dodge County Licensed Child Care Association (Dodge Center, MN) to have Mike Mann as Mike the Baker put on a presentation about early literacy. Following the presentation, additional activities such as story time, temporary tattoos, and face painting were available for children while adults received handouts on early literacy and the prevention of child abuse.

Partner Organization(s) Contribution/Role in the Program: The Dodge Center Library assisted in evaluation. The schools, West Concord Public Library, and Triton ECFE/SR assisted with advertising and publicity. All other partners supplied a cash match for supplies and materials.
Program Outputs: Outputs are things you can count such as attendance, number of new participants, and the number of attendees who had never been at a similar event, and so on.
55 children and 30 adults attended the program. 225 books were purchased for distribution.
Measurable Outcomes may be collected by survey, anecdotal responses, post-test; End user change in Behavior, Attitude, Skills, Knowledge, Condition and/or Status
The program was well-received and the Association is considering a continuation of this project.
