Art & Culture Live!: Community Collaborations - Grumpy Old Men Festival Author Talk, Art Show, and Snow Sculpture Contest
Grumpy Old Men Festival Author Talk, Art Show, and Snow Sculpture Contest featured an author talk by Greg Breining at the Wabasha Public Library (Wabasha, MN). The talk centered on his book Hard Water World which is about ice fishing. Along with the author talk, a snow sculpture contest was held. An art show of the works of a local artist was also presented. These activities tied into Wabasha’s “Grumpy Old Men Festival,” a town celebration focused on the film series of the same name.

Measurable Outcomes may be collected by survey, anecdotal responses, post-test; End user change in Behavior, Attitude, Skills, Knowledge, Condition and/or Status
Some positive responses on a survey distributed to attendees about the program showed appreciation of the library as a sponsor of the arts. Some negative feedback from the Library Board was that too much time was spent on grants for programming rather than typical library functions. The Library Board gave significant resistance to other outcomes evaluation.
