Project Overview

World Film Series @ Your Library is ongoing and had not reached completion by either the end of the fiscal year or the due date of this report. It is a multi-cultural film series consisting of five film showings a month over a period of ten months at the Owatonna Public Library (Owatonna, MN) and their branch library in Blooming Prairie. The films are selected from a variety of genres with an emphasis on motion pictures not exhibited at local cinemas. The goal is to provide the community with the opportunity to view films from many world cultures as part of a broad and diverse film going audience and to enhance awareness and understanding of different cultures through the art of film.

Event Dates and Locations:
March 23, 2010 – First film presentation at the Owatonna Public Library (Owatonna, MN)
December 2010 – Completion of the film series at the Owatonna Public Library (Owatonna, MN) and the Blooming Prairie Branch Library (Blooming Prairie, MN)
