Partner Organization(s) Contribution/Role in the Program: The Northfield Historical Society helped create and then hosted an exhibit on the history of the Library. The Northfield Arts Guild assisted in planning and executing the birthday party event. St. Olaf College contributed students via unpaid internships to work on the exhibit and the DVD. The Friends group provided the food for the celebration.

Program Outputs: Outputs are things you can count such as attendance, number of new participants, and the number of attendees who had never been at a similar event, and so on.

The birthday party had approximately 300 people in attendance.
50 people attended the opening of the exhibit with an estimated 1,000 viewing it during its run.
The premiere of the DVD had more than 80 people attend.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Measurable Outcomes may be collected by survey, anecdotal responses, post-test; End user change in Behavior, Attitude, Skills, Knowledge, Condition and/or Status

Measurable Outcome(s)

A “Birthday Party pop quiz” showed that more that 80% of participants learned about the Guild and the Library.  All of those who participated agreed it was a good time.  Both the Historical Society staff and the Library Director heard many favorable comments from those who viewed the exhibit with the only detraction being that there was too much text to the display.  The premiere of the DVD had almost everyone in the audience stopping to compliment the staff or the students who assisted in the creation of it.
