Vetted Performer: Minnesota Zoo
The Vetted Programs were created by request from SELCO public library directors and intended to involve less library staff time dedicated to individual programming plans. Library staff expressed a desire for a simple, turnkey program approach that they could easily implement and manage for their communities. SELCO and the Vetting Committee maintain a catalog of performers on contract with SELCO to provide their services. Presentation-style program using live animals, biological artifacts, and theater techniques with a special focus on Minnesota animals. Zoomobile programs create a dynamic, personal and fun experience for people of all ages. The goal of all Zoomobile programs is to inspire a respect and a sense of stewardship for all life on earth.

Nearly every attendee expressed that they would be back to the library for future programs. Participants felt that they learned a lot about the animals, had hands on interaction, and were amazed by the knowledge of the presenter. Comments on the program and presenter included, " Engaging, knowledgeable, presenter", "The whole program was Amazing! Thank you (librarian) for taking the time to bring these SELCO programs to our small town!" and "(I enjoyed) the humor along with the very informative knowledge of the presenter".
