Book Club in a Bag
Each year, SELCO has put together book club kits of each year's winning books, which are available for check out to SELCO member libraries. We decided not to continue this program, although the book club kits remain in circulation and require minimal repair and replacement costs.

Book Club in a Bag kits to help connect Minnesota readers and Minnesota authors, poets and illustrators. SELCO will increase output of Minnesota-based writing and increase exposure to Minnesota authors, encourage the reading of more literature written by Minnesota-based authors, and present the library as a cultural center of the community. Program attendees and book club kit users will be surveyed about future reading choices and future writing submissions to local/regional publications.
9 Book Club in a Bag Kits were checked out a total of 13 times. The patrons liked the ease of checking them out and the resources available with the kits.
