SELCO offered a Special Legacy Program in the spring of 2019, partnering with documentary artist James A. Bowey. James shared stories, photographs, and conversations from When Home Won't Let You Stay, his traveling exhibition about refugees in Minnesota.

People responded that they consider the library a place to experience cultural exchanges, and they appreciated the images and stories that prompted conversations and shared learning.
