Project Overview

Fulda Memorial Library sponsored a Summer Reading Program on June 23, 2010 with Ducks as the theme. In the 1st thru 3rd grade group, the theme of the whole session was ducks--duck stories, duck snacks, duck games, etc. The ducks were decorated by the kids with markers, stickers, jewels, etc. and put up in the library windows to decorate. In the 4th thru 6th grade group, the kids raced the ducks across a tub of water using straws, in addition to testing whether the ducks sank or floated in a tub of water. They also used the ducks as weights when testing how much weight each of their tin foil boats would hold. The kids decorated their ducks when they were through with all the water activities.
