Legacy Sponsorship Grants 2010: Author Jill Kalz
Using a visual power point presentation, Jill Kalz provided attendees at the Lakefield Public Library Author Program with information about how she creates her "written" story. We learned the process that writers , publishers and illustrators go through to create just the right image for the characters the author is writing about. One fun example: Jill got her inspiration for the big marshmallow in the book Farmer Cap when she was driving through the country side and saw a field with large round hay bales covered in white plastic...
Jill read the audience one of her stories complete with an accent which kept the young children in attendance mesmerized
Numerous books were sold.
