Project Overview
The Granny Readers brought stories to life with props and actions during their program on June 25, 2010. Some of the material they use is from a reader's theater group and other stories are their own adaptations. They used traditional stories as well as introducing the children to new stories.

Measurable Outcome(s)
- The children learned how stories from books can be acted out with simple props, movements and actions.
- Children saw that Grannies can create programs that entertain and encourage laughter. Grannies have vivid imaginations.
- Children learned that they can create plays from theirfavorite stories and perform them for family members. For some children this was their first time checking out books from the library.
