The Vetted Programs were created by request of the SELCO public library directors. This turnkey program provides the opportunity for a variety of artists, musicians, authors, and storytellers to share their performances.

To have participants recognize the library is a place to experience quality programming.
Increase participants' knowledge of different arts and cultural heritage topics/programs.
Expose library patrons to arts, performances, events they may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience in their community.

Many of the kids said that their favorite parts were ones that included juggling with fire and knives and riding the unicycle.

The kids wanted to learn more about juggling and riding a unicycle.
Jason is a fantastic performer who is engaging with a positive energy. He was able to connect with audience members, no matter the age.

5) What did (participant) like best about this program?
Participants loved the involvement of children in the program and the comedy aspect of his show. One participant said, "He was fun and comedic. It kept the show rolling!" Another said, "He had a great way of interacting with the kids and audience."
They kids LOVED this program. . . were enthralled from the very beginning. The performer kept things moving, was thoroughly prepared, had a polished routing, and performed some amazing feats of juggling. The kids loved the juggling of fire and knives the best! Also the unicycle was a big hit!
Comments included: performer was "very personable and kid friendly," that he was good about "explaining how to juggle" to the kids, that this was something "not commonly seen around here" and "very entertaining," that it was "fun and interactive," and finally (just like the kids responded), they loved the fire and knives!
This was a program well received by the community. The kids were all excited about having a chance to see him in person and talk with him. They were very impressed by the audiences he has previously performed for and were thrilled that he was on television. Jason was very accommodating to our needs and stayed after his performance to juggle with the audience.
