Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

To have participants recognize the library is a place to experience quality programming.
Increase participants' knowledge of different arts and cultural heritage topics/programs.
Expose library patrons to arts, performances, events they may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience in their community.

Evaluations were done using surveys, focus groups, and/or interviews.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The music was good and different; something different than what we usually get in Caledonia. The library now has a lot more programming for all ages than it used to. I might come to more performances at Music in the Park. The venue was great. "I brought my boys here tonight because it's something different than what they're used to." "This is the first time I've ever seen a library sponsor a musical program; it's an opportunity I hadn't thought about." I was impressed with the quality of the music. "Everybody should have music in their lives." "I'm more likely to attend a local performing arts program because of that--it's local. Why travel when we have good music?" "I like the different selection of instruments." "The library just keeps getting better and better."
You could tell how much the music moved their souls.
I was particularly interested in how my autism students would handle the loud sound and they did very well. "Thank You so much for bring the Band to school because they had NEVER heard a live band before!
