Increase participants' knowledge of different arts and cultural heritage topics/programs.
Expose library patrons to arts, performances, events they may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience in their community.

Evaluations were done using surveys, focus groups, and/or interviews.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The teachers were pleased with the performance, which was paired with my informational presentation about the summer reading program. Regarding the performance, everyone enjoyed it, and felt that it engaged the children in a good way.
What I liked best about the children's reaction was that it excited something in them. It was a simple thing, but it still had the ability to bring out their interest and attention.
It was a fun participatory program and the children got some great physical exercise!
"My favorite part was Adrienne doing the tricks with the hoops", "Getting to play with the hoops", "All of it", "I learned to spin a hoop on my arm!"
"I would rate this program a 9 out of 10. Something NEW for kids to witness and be a part of"
The crowd really enjoyed Adrienne's program. She kept the kids interested throughout and won them and their parents all over by letting them try hula-hooping themselves after the presentation. Several children sought her out and asked questions after the presentation and she was great about talking with them and sharing tips.
Everyone loved the performance and most of all the twirling of so many hula hoops at one time. All the kids were interested in trying out different things from her performance. She stayed for a long time afterward helping the kids with their skills and making sure all that wanted them got hula hoops. She was well-stocked with hula hoops for the kids to use and buy. The parents were very happy with how much fun the kids had. They also really enjoyed the program.
