The Partners for Clean Water program will enable community groups to take action to improve their water resources. Engaging citizens directly in project development and installation efforts provides immediate water quality benefits and develops a community of active stewardship. Installation of projects previously developed by Douglas County community groups will shift the currently dormant water quality protection efforts.
Passport to Culture: Removing barriers to participation will serve 1500 households, reaching approximately 6,000 children and their adult caregivers from across the region. Passport to Culture eliminates the financial barriers to participation by families most vulnerable in our society, providing membership, enhanced by direct program opportunities targeted to serve low income households designed to create a pattern of use of cultural organizations by families.
To construct a stage and bring in artists and entertainment. Artists will demonstrate woodworking, yarn spinning, and photography. A local bluegrass band will be featured for the first time at the fair.
