Project Overview

Removal of Buckthorn from Oak Savanna habitat. The project is a cooperative effort with the Private land neighbor also removing Buckthorn from private land bordering the DNR's WMA. Elmo WMA has Buckthorn throughout the Oak dominated woods. The habitat targeted in the restoration project is devoid of invasive Buckthorn in their native pristine conditions. The purpose of the project is to restore protected public habitats through the removal of invasive Buckthorn that have taken over the habitat.
