Project Overview
Project sites include recently harvested stands of oak or aspen that need release work to encourage species diversity within these stands and encourage faster growth of desirable species. These sites are growning back naturally but seedlings of red oak, bur oak, birch and other preferred hardwoods are being outcompeted by aspen, hazel, and other undesirable species for the sites.
