Flying Words With Creativity Tank
How do athletes become Olympians? How do you become the best you can be? What word would you wish for the world? Find your word of encouragement and let it fly. Creativity Tank artists guided participants in the process of designing their own personal flag through drawing and printmaking on fabric. Simple stitching completed the project for hanging.

The intended outcome of the arts program is to allow patrons the opportunity to create hands-on art projects and develop their skills as visual artists, such as creative problem solving, self-expression, small motor development, etc. A survey was distributed to receive feedback from those attending the programs.
Surveys were distributed to participants at all programs. 82% strongly agreed that this was an enjoyable experience and 80% strongly agreed that they would attend a similar event. Comments: " Kids had a lot of fun learning to paint." "I loved that my daughter and I could participate together in this program." "The children were given many tools to promote activity." This was a very well thought out and presented program."
18 libraries provided space (2 partnered for a program to be held at a school), staff, and additional promotion for the programs and approximately 16 regional newspapers provided marketing through press releases, photos and interviews with artists and performers.
