Project Overview
An instructor from the Minnesota Center for Book Arts will present a series of three workshops at the North Branch Area Library for the summer of 2016 and fall of 2016. These will include one for children (Frog Pop Out Book) one for teens (to be scheduled) and one for adults (Hardcover Sketch Journal).

Students will learn the art of bookmaking and the many different forms it encompasses. They will have the opportunity to create a vibrant visual and literary form of expression in their specific book art form. Other outcomes may include:
1) hands-on-learning through the artistic process
2) creative and personal expression
3) discovery of a new art form
4) using critical and visual thinking skills
Measurable Outcome(s)
Attendees learned that the book is a vibrant contemporary art form that takes many shapes as an evolving art form. Attendees at each workshop will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience of making their own book.
