131 Region Wide Read Program
Community members in all of our six counties (Aitkin, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine) will read the same book, Ice-Out by MN author Mary Casanova and take part in discussions and activities from September 15 thru November 16.
339 participated
Participants will be asked to fill out a survey after each program or activity they attend. We will also record attendance data at all programming along with the total circulation of the print book and eBook over the program period. Desired outcomes for the ECRL Reads program is to encourage community members throughout our six counties to come together through the reading and discussion of a common book and to strengthen the region while supporting the arts and literacy. Participants will meet a Minnesota author, learn about hear creative process and about the life and culture of Minnesota in the 1920's.
Outcomes/comments from the survey included: 'Learning about Minnesota history very interesting down-to-earth author.', 'I loved Mary's stories and hearing how she writes - where the ideas come from, etc..' Very engaging.' & 'Learning the history of our area.'
