Project Overview

Leech Lake Nation Today (working title) will be a 30 minute pilot program for a potential new series partnering with individuals from Cass Lake and the Leech Lake Nation.

Leech Lake Nation Today aims to educate on and highlight the unique and deeply embedded traditions and culture of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe in the heart of northern Minnesota. Hear sacred stories from elders and follow along with tribal members as they teach us about their heritage and how they're keeping their Anishinaabe traditions alive.

This 30 minute pilot program will explore traditional Native American Pow Wows and their history and local cultural significance.
