Veterans' Voices in 90-Seconds
MN90: Minnesota History in 90-seconds and Veterans' Voices are two of Ampers most popular Legacy projects. Listeners love hearing first-hand stories from Minnesota's Veterans. People also tell us that they love getting a little nugget of Minnesota history each day allowing them to walk away with a small but important piece of information about our state's history that they didn't already know. For this project, Ampers will provide both. Based on the structure of MN90, Ampers will produce twenty (20) ninety-second segments about Minnesota and World War I, twenty (20) ninety-second segments about Minnesota and World War II, and twenty (20) ninety-second segments about Minnesota, Vietnam, and the counterculture.
Ampers Veterans' Voices
$194,000 the first year is for statewide programming to produce and distribute the Veterans' Voices program to educate and engage communities regarding Minnesota veterans' contributions, knowledge, skills, and experiences with an emphasis on the untold stories of veterans from diverse communities.?
More Minnesotans of all ages, ethnicities and incomes will have access to Minnesota history than would if this project was not funded.
The project will produce content that history teachers can use in Minnesota classrooms
The project will result in more locally and Minnesota-focused content produced by public radio than would exist without these segments.
