Hometown History
Residents of communities in KSRQ's listening area share nostalgic stories related to the culture and history of their hometowns. This project will be a collaboration with area historical societies in Pennington, Red Lake, Marshall, Beltrami, Clearwater, Kittson, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, norman, Polk, and Roseau Counties, as well as the Red Lake Nation. Segments will feature content from history museums along with the personal recollections of local people. Recent immigrants' stories will be featured, along with remembrances of traditional northwest Minnesota activities like farming, hunting, fishing, hockey, and snowmobiling.
KSRQ FY 22/23 Legacy Grant
$1,891,500 the first year and $1,891,500 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
