The Economics of Art in Rural MN
A series of radio segments about the physical/emotional/intellectual process of creating public art (tied to RFPs for sculpture and a mural in public space at KAXE's studios - which will inspire and support local artists). This program will also explore the economics of public art in other towns in northern MN.
Northern Community Radio
$1,891,500 the first year and $1,891,500 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
1) Annual survey: A majority of listeners surveyed will report that they have more knowledge, information, and access to the arts. They will agree that this program helps increase locally- and Minnesota-focused content produced by public radio, and increases the number of local artists that have their work showcased through public broadcasting
2) Listener, audience, and participant feedback: We will collect any feedback from the audience to evaluate whether the program reflects the priorities of the ACHF for public broadcasting, including expanded knowledge, information, and access to arts in Minnesota. We will also collect feedback about the impact of this opportunity from the artists involved
