Project Overview

The Mid West Music Fest is an all-ages, multiple-genre, volunteer-driven two-day spring music festival in Winona on the 3rd or 4th weekend of May (FY22 Fest still TBA). KQAL will provide Increased exposure for Minnesota artists and musicians who perform at this event which in turn will expose more Minnesotans to art and culture as well as giving the artists themselves more exposure. KQAL will also financially support & promotes MWMF 2022 initiative to shine a light and support mental health for musicians.

Grants received under this section must be used to create, produce, acquire, or distribute programs that educate, enhance, or promote local, regional, or statewide items of artistic, cultural, or historic significance. In addition, KQAL interviews the Minnesota bands and musicians who perform at the Mid West Music Festival giving those artists more exposure and allowing KQAL to create more Minnesota-focused content, and giving the artists even more exposure.
