The Sound
The Sound centers around Minnesota music and the people behind the making of it. Interviews with artists (many of whom produce and engineer their own work) who discuss the creative process of making music. From the writing and arranging to the recording and distribution process. The show is an interview format that includes music from the guests. Spinning and talking about Minnesota music with the people who make it.

$1,891,500 the first year and $1,891,500 the second year are to the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations for production and acquisition grants in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.19.
There will be more locally and Minnesota-focused content created by public radio, with the goal of increasing access to art and culture.
There will be an increase in the number of Minnesota artists, producers, writers, technicians, and others, so their work can be showcased through public radio.
Because of this initiative, residents of Southeastern Minnesota will be more aware of artistic, technical, and best practices in the music industry.
