Minnesota Native American language preservation and restoration efforts and the work of MN Native Artists will be chronicled as part of the Native Report series.
$4,895,000 the first year and $4,025,000 the second year are to the Minnesota Public Television Association for production and acquisition grants according to Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.18. Of this amount, $950,000 the first year is for a grant to Twin Cities Public Television to produce Minnesota Journeys: Capturing, Sharing, and Understanding Our Immigration History.
Native Report Native Language and Art segments will raise awareness of MN Native American artists and the efforts to foster Minnesota's native languages, and will encourage appreciation of Native American arts and artists and best practices in teaching native languages.
