Minnesota Town Origins (WT) will be a look at what makes some of the towns in northeastern Minnesota unique. We will explore the town's founding story, find out why people settled there, and learn how that history has shaped the town and its customs, celebrations and people.
$4,895,000 the first year and $4,025,000 the second year are to the Minnesota Public Television Association for production and acquisition grants according to Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.18. Of this amount, $950,000 the first year is for a grant to Twin Cities Public Television to produce Minnesota Journeys: Capturing, Sharing, and Understanding Our Immigration History.
Guide the viewers along as they find out things about towns in the Northland and see how the mosaic of communities across the region which might appear very similar, have very different reasons for being.
