Project Overview
Minnesota's 194th Tank Battalion (working title) will be a 30 minute documentary produced for Lakeland PBS by a local independent producer/film maker.
Step into history as we honor the valor of Brainerd's men from the 34th tank company, later transormed into A company of the 194th, who played a pivotal role in the Battle of Bataan. Their indomitable spirit and sacrifice are remembered as we chronicle their journey through the harrowing Bataan Death March and the enduring legacy of the 29 who tragically lost their lives as prisoners of war.
Key elements in the program:
*Boys from Brainerd, MN
*62 left for the Philippines, only 29 came home
*Preserving the past and living a legacy: the 194th Armored Regiment
