Project Overview

Minnesota Historia is a digital-first documentary series that aims to educate its audiences on unique and lesser-explored histories of Minnesota. Through the guidance of an engaging history expert' host, we are taken on journeys into the past to uncover stories of the bizarre, unexplored, and intriguing. Told in a fast-paced narrative and experimenting with new and different digital styles, this series targets the younger audiences on YouTube and social media, but also engages older viewers on our traditional broadcast channels. . Minnesota Historia will expose the community to unique elements of the regions history, allowing for better understanding of what past events and contributions have made this region what it is today. Viewers will report feeling more aware of what makes this region special and encouraged to showcase the region to others.
