Project Overview

Minnesota Agriculture Careers: Beyond the Barn will be a 30 minute program exploring local agricultural lifestyles and careers available to students throughout Minnesota.

Program description:

Opportunities in agriculture makeup more than 10% of the careers in Minnesota. Through this program, and associated short segments, we will introduce the student audience to a broad range of agricultural based careers, the people who do the work, and the vast options for a career in Minnesota agriculture. Through sharing these stories we can impact students, families, educators and communities, increasing agricultural literacy and cultivating an understanding that there is a place for everyone in agriculture.
Produced in partnership with Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom, Inc. Foundation, which provides opportunities for Minnesota students grades 5 -12 to explore agriculture through Farm Camp Minnesota experiences.
