History Content
Twin Cities PBS Legacy funded content will include a MN history initiative with documentaries and other content. TPT will continue to produce and distribute our broadcast history series MINNESOTA EXPERIENCE. This program includes history documentary films for broadcast television as well as robust marketing and social media short form content, events, and screenings. Additionally, TPT will develop and pilot a new Minnesota Experience podcast that furthers the goals of TPT's public history content by bringing content to new platforms and audiences. TPT plans to also commission and provide finishing support and distribution for independent local history media projects. In support of history educational outreach efforts, the TPT Learn team will produce educational resources, online media and content, discussion guides, activities and programming based on the Legacy produced history content. TPT will also collaborate with subject matter experts and community partners to craft culturally responsive initiatives aimed at enriching educators' instructional approaches. Activation will include virtual and in-person professional development workshops, screenings with expert panels, and other events that welcome all Minnesotans interested in using public media to teach, guide, learn and grow.
