Project Overview
Minnesota Cookbook authors, Beatrice Ojakangas, Pat Dennis, Shelley Holl and B.J. Carpenter share the process of putting together a Minnesota cookbook. The authors answered questions from the audience and shared background on MN food culture. Sample foods were provided by area church groups.

- Program Outputs: The Cooking Minnesota Programs were tremendously successful for the Martin County Library. We were able to bring new people into the library and the topics of food and cookbooks were extremely popular for our community. We had so many people in attendance we almost ran out of room in the library!!

- Attendees will learn the process of publishing a cookbook,
- participate in a discussion of Minnesota food culture - what makes food "Minnesotan",
- sample recipes from our Minnesota cookbook authors and broaden their food palates.
Measurable Outcome(s)
- Three "Cooking MN" programs were held at the Martin County Library in 2011.
- More than 200 people came to hear about cookbook authors share in the process of putting a cookbook together, ask questions and talk about food in MN.
- The Friends of the Library and two church groups partnered with us to provide a recipe sample from the cookbook being discussed that day.
- The series went as planned and was tremendously successful.
