Project Overview

Universal Dance Destiny will teach a hip hop dance class to teens. Two universal Dance Destiny instructors taught a hip hop dance class to teens. They introduced popping, locking, isolating, break dancing, combining moves, and choreography. They also talked about being on a dance crew and showed videos of their dance crew.

Universal Dance Destiny (UDD) is a premier Dance Performance/Entertainment Company based in Minnesota. UDD's mission is to connect all communities and keep the universe movin' through the history, meaning, and movement of dance. We believe demonstrating the value of various dance forms fosters respect for different cultural groups. We strive to inspire individuals - especially youth - to discover their inner talent, confidence and style.

Measurable Outcome(s)

This is one of those programs that was so successful, but on a very small scale.  The smiles on the participants’ faces were fantastic to see.  I don’t think I’ve seen that kind of positivity throughout a teen program yet.  Still, only 3 of the 7 who showed up actually danced.  This type of program is perhaps too scary for this age group.Additional survey information available below in Details/Reports:
