Project Overview

Lunch at the Library Series was a five session local artist workshop project. The sessions were held at the Fairmont Library on Thursdays at 12:00 noon. Each local artist provided their audience with hands-on instructions, tips, and ideas for working with their medium. The workshops ran from January through March 2010. The Series ran as initially planned except for the first session had to be rescheduled due to the weather.

100 percent of the attendees answered yes to each question on the brief survey they were asked to fill out.

All of the patrons who attended a workshop appreciated the opportunity.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The Fairmont Library asked attendees to fill out a brief survey comprised of three questions. Attendee consisted of mostly retired community members. Most attended more than one session and some attended each of the five programs.  A few of the responses to the survey included:

  • Thank you so much.
  • What a wonderful idea.
  • Learned a lot, thank you for the opportunity.
  • I am new to the community, wish I would have known about all of these!
  • This is a wonderful program.  Will there be more?
