Project Overview

In FY24/25, TPT will produce new content, educational resources and engagement opportunities that explore the experiences of immigrants to Minnesota. This new content will build upon and expand the portfolio of work around immigrant stories and experiences that TPT has built over many years. Our intent is to engage content creators and/or educators from Minnesota's cultural communities to contribute to and provide guidance to this project.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

TPT's mission is to enrich lives and strengthen communities through the power of media. Our community-centered storytelling, and our arts, culture and history programming are critical towards achieving that goal. Following are the projected outcomes for programming and activities related to content about immigrant experiences in Minnesota:

Content viewers:
1. TPT will develop new relationships with audiences through its content about immigrant experiences in Minnesota, with particular focus on immigrant and other BIPOC communities, and younger audiences.
2. People who engage with TPT's content (docuseries and related marketing activities, educational resources, online media and content, discussion guides, activities and programming):
a. increase their knowledge and awareness of immigrant experiences in Minnesota.
b. share what they learned with others (thereby increasing dialogue about immigrant experiences in Minnesota).
c. are interested in learning more about the cultural communities profiled.
d. increase their understanding of different perspectives and lived experiences.
e. feel more connected to Minnesota.
f. are satisfied with the content about immigration and immigrant experiences produced by TPT.

Educators and parents/caregivers:
3. TPT will develop new relationships with educators and parents/caregivers through its educational resources focused on immigrant experiences in Minnesota, with particular focus on immigrant and other BIPOC communities and younger people.

Collaborators and community:
4. TPT develops new relationships with collaborators through its content relating to immigrant experiences, with particular focus on immigrant and other BIPOC communities, and younger people.
5. Collaborators are satisfied with and benefit from their partnership with TPT.

TPT's Director of Evaluation will work with project teams to refine outcomes for each project to inform evaluation planning.
