It's Beginning to Look Like a Boat!' will be a 60 minute documentary following a local woodworking craftsman as he constructs a boat for use here in our northern Minnesota lakes.
Program description:
He's not Noah, but Don Carlson has the passion for wood working and fishing in the great lakes of Minnesota. So, he decided to put his tools and hands to work building his own wooden tunnel hull fishing boat. Follow this year long project in Don's Bemidji garage, from the initial planning to the lake launch, as he builds his dream boat.
Viewers will report an increased interest, understanding, and knowledge of north central Minnesota's watercraft culture & history and the unique woodworking skills required to construct a boat for use on the regions many lakes.
