We distributed evaluation forms after each program. We hoped patrons would have a new understanding and/or appreciation for woodwind and brass instruments, and ensemble music. We hoped that they would be inspired to see local musicians pursuing their passions. We also hoped that patrons would leave with a stronger association of the library as a place to experience arts and cultural programming.
99% of respondents said they agree or strongly agree that this program brought their community a new cultural or artistic experience. 89% agreed or strongly agreed they learned something new about the arts, history or culture. 99% said after this program, they are likely or very likely to think of the library as a place to experience arts or cultural programming. Public comments included, "I liked learning the music history of the songs," and, "I liked that the music was accompanied by interesting intros, stories, poems," and, "thank you for supporting the musical arts and talents to small local libraries."
In Roseau, Greenbush and Hallock, the Friends of the Library helped set up and clean up, and provided refreshments.
