Musical Impressions: The Art of George Morrison
Jazz guitarist Briand Morrison, a well-known artist in the music world, pairs his father George Morrison's (1919-2000) work with his own musical compositions for an original event that will please both visual and music lovers alike.

We distributed evaluation forms after each program. We hoped patrons would have a new understanding and/or appreciation for jazz music, art and their intersection, and learn something new about the both. We also hoped patrons would leave with a stronger association of the library as a place to experience arts and cultural programming.
97% of respondents said they agree or strongly agree that this program brought their community a new cultural or artistic experience. 94% agreed or strongly agreed they learned something new about the arts, history or culture. 97% said after this program, they are likely or very likely to think of the library as a place to experience arts or cultural programming. Public comments included, "very relaxing, unique combination of art and music," and "living hundreds of miles from the cities, many people have not visited the wonderful museums Minnesota has so it's programs like these that can bring a touch of it to us!" and "Bringing jazz music to a very rural community like Roseau is astounding. We are very grateful to have this opportunity."
