Page Turner Adventures
Page Turner Adventures featured daily virtual programming throughout the summer, with weekly themes. The programming included comedy story theater shows, crafts, recipes, author interviews, guest performers, contests, games, and much more. We used this programming as a supplement to our Summer Reading Program, in place of the in-person programming that normally accompanies the Summer Reading Program.

At the conclusion of the final week of programming, we posted a survey link on all of our Facebook pages, asking participants to provide their feedback. We hoped the variety of programming would engage and inspire patrons, especially while so many were stuck at home during the pandemic. We hoped that patrons would find one thing- be it visual arts, or theater, or an author interview- that would inspire them to engage more thoroughly with the arts. We also hoped that patrons would leave with a stronger association of the library as a place to experience arts and cultural programming.
80% of respondents said that they agree or strongly agree that this program brought their community a new cultural or artistic experience. 80% strongly agreed that they learned something new about the arts, history or culture. 100% said that after this program, they are very likely to think of the library as a place to experience arts or cultural programming. Public comments included, "I liked the variety-something I wouldn't normally see," and, "I liked that there was something to do in town while we were all on hold," and, "Please keep our summer programs! The kids love interacting with other kids and making projects throughout the summer."
