The Three Sisters--corn, beans, and squash--are staples in the diets of Native Americans. Presenter, Joanne Kitto, shared the significance of those foods in Native American life. She also made Indian fry bread, wild rice soup and a blueberry dish. She demonstrated how to prepare fried bread.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The presentation was interactive and the participants had a lot of questions and were very interested in the presentation. Before they left, many of the participants approached Joanne to thank her or ask her more questions. Those attending learned about the Dakota Culture, their customs and foods they ate.
