Project Overview
Prairie and Native American educator, Barb Schmidt, will present two programs. The first will be a "Pioneer Tea Party" with children decorating pioneer hats, playing games and discussing pioneer life. The second program will be "Native American Life on the Prairie". Children will play Native American games, discuss Indian Life and make a miniature Teepee.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)
A greater knowledge of the culture and history of pioneer and Native American life on the prairies of southwest Minnesota with emphasis on the lives of children. Children will compare their lives to those over a century ago.
