Attendees acquired an enhanced understanding of the life and trials of pioneer life. Attendees expanded their knowledge of prairie life traditions and cultural heritage. Attendees gained an awareness and knowledge of the histroy of Laura Ingalls and her family which sparked a renewed interest in the Little House of the Prairie literary resourses. For some attendees, the opportunity to see a live theatre production was especially rewarding. In total 1,241 people (from both regions) traveled on 22 buses to attended this historical outdoor production. Of those attending, an average of 98% would not have been able to attend for cost and travel reasons. 100% would attend a similar function. 97% agreed that their understanding of prairie life had been increased or enhanced. 100% rated the production as excellent and admired the Walnut Grove Community for its talented local actors and stage crew.
