Project Overview

Minnesota Crime Wave consists of three Minnesota mystery writers -- Ellen Hart, Carl Brookins, & William Kent Krueger. The program includes each author sharing their personal stories & details about their writing careers. They also allowed time for book signing, Q & A, and visiting with those in attendance.

It's exciting to provide the public with an opportunity to meet such talented writers and interesting individuals. This exposure gets folks reading and may encourage a potential writer to pursue his own creative projects.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Those in attendance learned a lot about each author's writing process, how a mystery is constructed, and each writer shared their personal experiences with the publishing industry. Some folks weren't familiar with all three writers so they were happy to discover an author they hadn't read yet. There were many comments stating it was a great program -- very informative, interesting, and entertaining as well
