Project Overview

Minneapolis Guitar Quartet will perform three concerts beginning with classical music and moving to more contemporary works from a myriad of genre. The program will feature the history of the music being played a well as explanations of the meaning behind some of the works. The performers will also demonstrate how to play guitar and some of the different techniques they will be using. This program took place at 3 locations in the LARL region from October 19 to October 20, 2017.

Attendees will hear from four prominent Minnesota musicians and composers. Attendees will learn how guitar is played. Attendees will learn about the history and meaning of the music played.

Surveys were collected from attendees. Attendees noted they appreciated the entertaining and educational program. They also enjoyed the variety of music and being able to participate in question and answer session with the performers.
