The Detroit Lakes Public Library led a bus tour to Duluth Minnesota on September 9, 2017. The tour will left Detroit Lakes Library at 7:00 a.m. and reached Duluth at approximately 11:00 a.m. While in Duluth, the group will go to the Canal Park area where participants can eat lunch, explore the lake front and go to the Maritime museum. At 2:00 p.m. the group headed to the Glensheen Mansion for scheduled tours. The group arrived back in Detroit Lakes approximately 7:30pm.

This trip will provide participants with a chance to experience the architecture of one of Minnesota's major cities and increased knowledge and awareness of the importance of Duluth in Minnesota History.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Surveys were collected from the people who went on the trip. Attendees appreciated being able to go on a trip to see attractions they otherwise wouldn't have been able to see. People also enjoyed learning about the history of Glensheen and getting the ability to explore Canal Park.
