American Swedish Institute, Midtown Global Market and Minneapolis Institute Of Art Bus Tour
Staff from the Moorhead Library led a 37 passenger bus trip to Minneapolis to the American Swedish Institute, Midtown Global Market, and Minneapolis Institute of Art on April 22, 2017. The bus left at 6:00am from Moorhead and arrived at the American Swedish Institute around 10:00am. Group tours of both the Nelson Cultural Center and the Turnblad Mansion were taken. Lunch was at the Midtown Global Market, where there are many restaurant and caf? options available. The group then went to the Minneapolis Institute of Art, where people wandered the galleries on their own for 2 hours. The bus arrived back at the Moorhead Library around 8:30pm.

Attendees will learn about the culture and heritage of many Minnesotans at the Swedish Institute.
Learn about turn of the century history and architecture during a tour of the Turnblad Mansion.
Those on the bus trip will have an opportunity to visit one of the premier art museums in Minnesota they might not be able to get to otherwise.
They will experience a variety of art forms including, prints, photography, paintings, masks, and more.
Those in attendance will see works by important Minnesota artists.
Surveys were collected from the attendees. People appreciated being bused to the Minneapolis destinations. The enjoyed learning at the American Swedish Institute and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
