Glensheen Mansion And Duluth Depot Bus Tour
April 29, 2017, staff from the Crookston Library led a 40 passenger bus trip to Duluth to visit the Glensheen Mansion as well as the Duluth Depot, which is home to the Lake Superior Railroad Museum, Duluth Art Institute, Veterans? Memorial Hall, and the St. Louis County Historical Society. The bus left at 6:00 a.m. from Crookston and arrived at Glensheen Mansion around 11:00 a.m. Tours began at 11:10 with three groups taking hour long tours, staggered every ten minutes. They arrived at the Duluth Depot approximately 2:15 p.m. where they visited the exhibits and stayed until 3:45 p.m. The bus arrived back in Crookston around 9:00 p.m. Snacks and water will be provided on the bus, courtesy of the Friends of the Crookston Library.

Attendees will gain an awareness of what Minnesota has to offer, a chance for those who might not otherwise get to travel on their own to experience the state of Minnesota, and an opportunity to broaden the horizons of what a library is capable of providing to its citizens.
Surveys were collected from participants. Attendees appreciated learning about Minnesota history and having the ability to do a trip they couldn't normally afford.
