The View From My Canoe: Enjoying Minnesota's Waterways And Outdoor Recreation Culture With Natalie Warren
The Library is pleased to host environmentalist and speaker Natalie Warren. In 2011, Ms. Warren and a college friend were the first women to paddle 2,250 miles from Minneapolis to Hudson Bay following the journey of Eric Sevareid. Eric Porter featured her in the book Canoeing with the Cree. This library event is being held in collaboration with the Becker County Museum, which is featuring a Smithsonian traveling exhibit called Water/Ways. Ms. Warren participated in a Meet and Greet at the museum at 3:00pm prior to her speaking engagement at the library. This program took place at the Detroit Lakes Library on March 7, 2017.
